AUDIOMETRIC TESTING
Audiograms measure a person's ability to hear sounds at different pitches and intensities. Hearing loss is gradual and can be hard to detect until one's ability to communicate is greatly affected. Noise Induced Hearing Loss is a non reversable and not treatable condition which makes this service of utmost importance when screening an employee's ability to communicate on the job. Health & Safety requires employers to test all employees exposed to excessive noise. A screening program assists employers to be compliant with OHS legislation. Our services include periodic and baseline audiometric testing, mobile audiometric testing and custom moulded hearing protection. INSPEC utilizes a screening device called an audiometer to determine shifts in acuity. We also utilize an Eckel auditory booth to ensure accuracy. All results deemed as irregular will be sent to our local audiologist for further assessment.
